The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) in Anchorage, Alaska seeks a fellowship trained Palliative Care Physician to join our growing team. As a Level II Trauma Center, with over 30 medical specialties, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for the Alaska Native and American Indian people from across the state. Our unique patient population, cohesive team and breathtaking geography make this a one-of-a-kind practice opportunity!
As a hospital based practice serving adult and pediatric patients, you will join our robust, interdisciplinary Palliative Care Team in providing inpatient, outpatient and telemedicine consults utilizing our world renowned telemedicine program, Alaska Federal Access Health Care Network – www.afhcan.org. Additionally, you will facilitate training at regional facilities throughout Alaska, with the opportunity to positively impact the delivery of palliative care services across the state, utilizing the innovative Project ECHO® model.
Current Work schedule: Monday through Friday; 4 – 10 hour shifts or 5 – 8 hour shifts; no evening, weekend, or on call requirements; with anticipated program growth, weekend, evening and on call coverage may be necessary in the future.
Qualifications: Completion of Palliative Care Fellowship; BC/BE in Palliative Care; flexible, adaptable, team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to deliver ongoing education to primary care providers; prior Palliative Care experience preferred.
