We actively use iNo, whole body cooling, HFOV, bubble CPAP, and perform PDA ligations. We have about 500 admissions a year, 25% of these are transports. Our neonatal transport team provides 24/7 coverage. We use an RN-RN transport model with helicopter, fixed wing, and ground capabilities. Our neonatal nurse practitioners are involved in outreach education throughout the region and serve as NRP and STABLE instructors. Candidates must be NCC certified, have prescriptive authority, and hold a current Maine license or be immediately eligible for the same.
